Walking Past Hermann Schmieding Haus
About:
Stepping back in time - this is a town in the Minden-Lübbecke district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany that a dear friend wanted me to see. She lives in a town with her family not so very far away from here. We went on many bike rides and walks around the area.
The half-timber reddish house (Haus) in the background was built in the Nordic Renaissance style and is situated in Minden’s Market Centre. Built by merchant Hermann Schmieding in 1909, the carvings and inscriptions depict stories from Minden’s history.
